The Nobel Prize is a set of international awards which are widely regarded as the most prestigious awards given for intellectual achievement in the world. They are awarded annually from a fund bequeathed for that purpose by the Swedish inventor and industrialist Alfred Bernhard Nobel. The Nobel Prizes are conferred in six disciplines.

The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games, XVIII Asiad and also known as Jakarta–Palembang 2018, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.

সবলদের অত্যাচারে দুর্বলদের জীবন যখন দুর্বিষহ হয়ে ওঠে, যখন সাধারণ মানুষের জীবন অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন হয়ে যায় তখনই কোনো এক মহামানবের আবির্ভাব ঘটে । মানবসমাজে মুক্তির আলো দেখাতে যাঁরা আবির্ভূত হয়েছেন তাঁদের মধ্যে যীশুখ্রীষ্ট অন্যতম । তিনি দিশেহারা মানুষকে সঠিক পথ দেখাতে আলোর দিশারী হয়ে জন্ম নিয়েছিলেন ।

Novak Djokovic of Serbia won the men's singles title in the US Open 2018 defeating Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina and lift his third US Open title at Flushing Meadows in New York on September 10, 2018. It was Djokovic's 15th win over Del Potro and his 14th overall Grand Slam title, taking him level with Pete Sampras.

Hon'ble President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind conferred the National Sports Awards 2018 at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on September 25, 2018 to the following persons. 1. World Champion weightlifter S. Mirabai Chanu was conferred the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award 2018 on September 25, 2018.

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi unveiled the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya in Narmada district of Gujarat on October 31, 2018. Built at a cost of about Rs 3,000 crore, and standing at a height of 182 metres, Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue is the tallest in the world and has surpassed the Spring Temple Buddha (128 metres) of China.
