WBCS Main Examination 2014 at a glance:-

২০১৪ সাল থেকে West Bengal Public Service Commission -এর WBCS Main পরীক্ষার সিলেবাসে আমূল পরিবর্তন আনা হয়েছে ।

►এবার থেকে WBCS Main পরীক্ষায় ছয়টি আবশ্যিক [Compulsory] পেপারের পরীক্ষা দিতে হবে । এই ছয়টি Compulsory পেপারের প্রতিটি পেপারে দুশো নম্বরের পরীক্ষা হবে ।

► Group - A ও Group - B পদপ্রার্থীদের একটি মাত্র ঐচ্ছিক [Optional] বিষয়ের পরীক্ষায় বসতে হবে । এই Optional বিষয়ে থাকবে দুটি পেপার এবং প্রতিটি পেপারে দুশো নম্বরের পরীক্ষা হবে । - Total Marks 400

► Group - C ও Group - D পদপ্রার্থীদের কোনো ঐচ্ছিক [Optional] বিষয়ের পরীক্ষায় বসতে হবে না ।

ছয়টি আবশ্যিক [Compulsory] পেপারের সিলেবাস ও পরীক্ষার ধরনেরও পরিবর্তন আনা হয়েছে ।

► Paper - I ও Paper - II -তে নতুন সিলেবাসে আর রচনা বা Essay লিখতে হবে না । সে জায়গায় Lettcr writing ও Drafting of Report সংযুক্ত হয়েছে । আর আগের মতোই Conventional Type -এর পরীক্ষা হবে ।

► Paper - III, Paper - IV, Paper - V এবং Paper - VI এই চারটি আবশ্যিক পেপারের সব প্রশ্ন হবে MCQ প্যাটার্নে এবং উত্তর লিখতে হবে OMR Sheet -এ ।

Paper - I Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/ Santali - Letter writing (within 150 words) / Drafting of Report (within 200 words) Precis Writing, Composition and Translation from English to Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali /Santali - Total Marks 200

Paper - II English - Letter writing (within 150 words) / Drafting of Report (within 200 words), Precis Writing, Composition and Translation from Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali / Santali to English - Total Marks 200

Paper - III General Studies -1 : (i) Indian History with special emphasis on National Movement and (ii) Geography of India with special reference to West Bengal. - Total Marks 200

Paper - IV General Studies- II : Science and Scientific & Technological advancement, Environment, General knowledge and Current Affairs. - Total Marks 200

Paper - V The Constitution of India and Indian Economy including role and functions of Reserve Bank of India. - Total Marks 200

Paper - VI Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning - Total Marks 200
